Don't need to pull any out of the boneyard; just need a tasking order that puts us in the fight.

FYI, restoring the remaining 12 flyable B-52s would be pretty expensive. The manufacturing line for some major upgrades we've received since these jets went to the boneyard have been shut down. It would be very expensive to stand those manufacturing lines back up. However, we do examine that idea every year. Rough estimates are that it would cost about $25 million per aircraft to restore. We were able to restore this one aircraft for about $13 million because we were able to use the major upgrade parts from the damaged aircraft. We wouldn't have that opportunity for the last 12 jets.
