Seeing how he enrolled in school, can he even come back and play? I don't know how eligibility works, but I would assume he has none left. I was under the impression your eligibility starts for all sports as soon as you enroll, Is this not the case?

I'm not sure that is possible. He enrolled at LSU. If he enrolled full-time that would have started his eligibility clock during which he would have 5 years to play 4. His 5 year period will expire before he completes his baseball contract.

The 5 to play 4 rule applies to Division I, so he could possibly return to football at Division II or III level.
