I've only seen one rattlesnake while hiking and it wasn't in Sedona.
I did see a herd of javelinas charging through near a trail we were on. Now THAT was scary...they are mean as hell and will frick you up.

I have seen the Javelinas too a few times,any idea if they taste good smoked?

My favorite place in the world.
And damn I want to see a javelina! I hear they are nasty bastards but want to see it.
Too many awesome hikes to name - but broken arrow to chicken point in the morning before the jeeps are out is always a favorite.
