I would think it'd be a pain in the arse to bring traps on a kayak. I know even the field pyramid traps we would use would take up a ton of room and if it's anything like field catch you'd need a couple dozen at least to catch a sack or two

It is a pain in the arse. The most you can take is 5 or 6 before heading back for more. I'll stick with deep water or ditch nets to fill sacks.

I figured it would be a pain in the arse too. Didn't know if it would be worth going drop, going back to get my fishing gear then doing the same at the end of the day.

The main thing was didn't know how many traps it would take, I've only done ditch nets really, so that probably makes the decision easy.

When in doubt ask the OB.
