This team isn't going far anyway in the tournament because as soon as they have to rely on outside shooting, the offense just falls apart. We have the inside game, but without a complimentary outside game, it is too easy to stop LSU's offense.

The last 5 minutes of close games is when everything bogs down because cannot shoot consistently. Hornsby shooting off balance 3's that clang off the rim doesn't help.

LSU needs shooters.

And the opponent is able to get baseline to the basket WAY to easily on a regular basis. Not having a true center hurts us.

To be fair the 3s they did make kept LSU in the game while Mickey was getting abused in the paint

We don't have an offense, we play streetball. It's pathetic, I can't imagine what they do in practice.

contested threes aren't high probability shots and we settle for them more often than not. Our guards rarely attack and get the ball to the basket or try to draw fouls. Our team shouldnt be trying to drain threes to close out a game they should get the ball into the paint. That's what Texas A&M did every possession while we launched prayers.

I have said this numerous times, we havent had an outside shooter since the great Chris Jackson. Absolutely nobody who can shoot the rock. We have the same disease on the basketball team, as far as shooters go, as the football team has with QB's! It doesn't matter how good your big men are if you don't have anybody who can shoot the ball from the perimeter.

define a true center? there a handful of ncaa teams with a true center, a handful out of 200+ teams.

We kicked Tennessee's arse b/c of outside shooting. We live and die by the three. Teams like that are capable of making runs in the tourney, but are also likely to get the crapped kicked out of them the first game.

On a side note, we once again didnt' run any plays from under the basket, and almost gave it away late in the game when Caruso stole it and barely stepped on the line running it down.

We also came out of timeouts 3 times last night and turned the ball over. We are the worst team i have ever seen at any level at plays out of a timeout.

I just don't think we have the depth to compete late in the games. Team is just too tired. Just like the rest of them, Hornsby goes cold toward the end.
