Glad this is now over, no one is surprised about Patterson's decision. He didn't want to play for LSU, so now we have a whole year to find someone to go along with Franks that does want to become a Tiger. This will all work out for the best to the Tigers!

I said I hope franks turns out better than Patterson.
For LSUs sake... I don't know which is "superior"

Unlike seemingly most posters here... I don't salivate over 17 yr old HS boys so I don't know which is better today.

You can spin it all you want, whatever makes you feel better about this kids choice but we've spent the past 3-4 months bitching and griping about LSU qb play and we just missed out on a 5star in state prospect.
No big deal though.

Why Patterson chose OM

I hope he is not able to pull others to go with him, like he intends.

We have the recruit I like in FF, so SP was lagniappe. FF is bigger and stronger and his stats are just as good. He remained committed even through the QB fiasco last year that could scare off most recruits.

We also went after Torrance Gibson, but how hard. Urban Meyer says he never recruited a player as intensely as Gibson, or wanted one as much, and intends to play him as a FR as he did Newton and Tebow. Do you think LSU ever has that level of intensity and certainty for a QB? That is what wins a recruit.
