They did give Craig a tip of the cap, but that was it. I liked the story, I appreciate how they made they made the game their own. I loved watching the Russians play in the NHL. They are the reason I followed Detroit through the 90s.

They are still cocky. Professionals that played together for years playing kids, who only just met each other. Pride comes before a fall.

They routinely destroyed nhl allstars. They won damn near every title for 2 decades. They were great.they killed that Canadian team that had 20 hall of fame players (the most decorated team ever,in any sport)

They outshot the US 39-16. Yeah, Craig almost single-handedly kept the US in the game. The US trailed for over 30 minutes in the game, and only held a lead in the final 10 minutes after Erruzione's goal. They were outplayed, but they got the breaks. that's the way hockey goes sometimes.

I love the Miracle on Ice, but let's not pretend we were not lucky as hell to beat the Russians. We were. That's kind of what makes it awesome. They play that game 100 times, USSR wins it 99 times. We just happened to get the one.
