my wife and I have two vehicles that we seldom drive- I drive about 5000/mi/yr she about 7500/mi/yr. I have a company vehicle so my chevy truck just sits, she drives a infinity m37 (2013).
Our premium is about $230 monthly total with Allstate - can't recall our deductibles or limits/liability - but they seem to be "normal".
Is this a decent rate? I've heard of some insurance companies that offer great discounts on seldom used vehicles - I called allstate we already have their lowest mileage plans. TIA

What zip code are you in?

I have a collectible car that I drive less than 1000 miles per year and Allstate wanted pretty much a full rate on it. Went with Safeco and it was around 200 a year.
Shop it.
Shop it.

Allstate is expensive. I switched from Allstate to State Farm and saved over 20% on my monthly premium and get better customer service. I would shop around for a better rate.

I tried to get a quote from Safeco today and already had three unsolicited brokers offer assistance for health, dental etc - they must sale that info to outside ins brokers

My insurance broker handles progressive and safeco. My progressive policy kept going up so I asked what my options were. (I also shopped State Farm and farm bureau on the side). Safeco was 33% cheaper than progressive. And from asking around, people seem to have no issues with them.
