re: Best Female SNL Cast Member of All Time?

Laraine Newman. She was awesome, and one of the first cast members to openly defy the practice of recurring characters. It's hurt her popularity and reputation, as she doesn't have a stock character to fall back on (except maybe the Valley Girl), but she was very much like the early version of Hartman: the glue of the early casts, always willing to do just about anything. She was funny, but she also had what I value most in an SNL cast member: she was dynamic.

Huge fan of her. I also like the oddballs.
