I don't own a timeshare. We stayed at the Marriott in Lihue the first time. The next trip we rented a house on Anini Beach. The last 3 times we have rented a condo in Princeville at Pali Ke Kua for 5 days and a house from Rosewood Properties in the hills above Kapa'a for the other 5 days. Fug a timeshare.
The book is a must and I steered him to that several times. He wanted suggestions and advice. That book has so much info in it with descriptions that make you want to do damn near everything which is impossible in one or two weeks. Just gave him advice I wish someone would have given me my first time. And....I like to write as well as read detailed answers to questions. Any smart arse can say get a guide book and leave it at that.
