Everything I have been told regarding SPARQ is to wait until your Jr year. If you score poorly you will have a difficult time recovering from a poor grade.
Better to do camps and wait on SPARQ. Also consider DIII schools. Many kids at D2 are academic casualties from DI and the environment is not positive. DIII typically has better academics and the financial aid packages can be significant.
