How many armies does Walt command?
I'll make an analogy. You are saying that Pablo Escobar was more powerful than Ronald Reagan. And that analogy is giving an extra bit of credit to Walt because he was never nearly as powerful as Pablo Escobar.
By persuing money. That's all he ever really had an abundance of. It was his measuring stick of success and respect.
If that's all you got out of that quote than you missed the whole point.
