I think everyone saw his JUCO scoring numbers and got excited... he averaged 9 PPG as a freshmam at Texas Tech and he was averaging that at LSU as a starter. However Josh is a SEC player among 5 other players. All 4 guards are inconsistent and apparently LSU does not have a 5th. LSU has two good guys in the front court if one is off his game, typically the Tigers are beat unless 3 of the guards play well.

He is about as streaky as a player I've seen.

im not a Josh Gray fan and still wonder how he averaged 30+ points in JUCO...BUT..in his defense he only had 1 turnover vs KY and he wasn't any worse than Q or Patterson..at least he does have the ability to drive the lane and create some things under the basket, just sometimes he needs to discipline himself as to when you can and when you shouldn't...aka Towns and Stein...

Gray could have 10 assists and 1 turnover and the mouthbreathers on this board would shite all over him for the turnover.
Agreed, because all of the mouthbreathers were ballers who never missed shots and never committed turnovers. I wish our fans would take time to watch players of other teams in games not involving LSU. I think they would be surprised to see how many guards in college basketball are just like Josh Gray. It's the style of basketball that has been played from grade school up for several years, now.
It seems that when our players make a mistake or miss a shot, they are accused of being poor players and, due to our bad coach, ought not be allowed to play at all.
