interesting. what are the pros and cons of a player doing this? does he stand to loose his spot or does the financial aid agreement papers secure him a spot w/o signing the NLI?

He can't lose his spot bUT he can go elsewhere

PROS:

1. He can flirt with other schools until enrollment. He is not committed.
2. It binds the school, not the recruit.

CONS:

1. If you're not a star, the school may tell you they are not interested in financial aid paperwork. Could end up being a strategy that hurts kids.
