thanks to the internet my kids at 10 had seen things i couldn't imagine until i was in college.
when you say 'you're a shitty parent', remember that their friends have phones at school and are browsing pornhub out behind the gym.

No judgement from me. I'm surprised with what my 6yr old hears at school, he just hasn't put the pieces together yet.

A few years ago, a 12 year old boy and girl here exchanged texts about anal sex and the texts indicated a very sophisticated sexual knowledge. They were talking about going slow, lube, etc. Hell, at 12, I was running electric f'in trains.
The mother discovered the texts (while they were talking about it) on the boy's phone, as well as a snatch pic from the girl. Her response - invite the girl over to stay at the house (after "lecturing" her son about it).
