Agree, but you should also have at least a little insight into what the characters are like (George is the pathetic friend, Kramer is the zany neighbor, etc.)
A while back I was trying to introduce my gf to South Park and in one episode Mr. Garrison was normal, and in the next episode I showed her he was a lesbian. So I had to give her a quick background on SP characters so she would understand...not that Mr. Garrison's sexual orientation could be understood
