I'm thinking about sending my dog to obedience school. I couldn't find on the Google how much it would cost

I just want him to learn to tell me in some way that he needs to go outside and also not bark his fricking head off when I say outside

My inlaws have installed a doorbell by their back door made especially for that. It's right at the height for their dog to push. They have trained him to push it whenever he needs to go out. It's loud enough to hear all over the house.

Hang a bell on your door: ring the bell, give your dog a treat then put him/her outside. Do this over and over - hell get he hang of it. You can buy these bells at a pet store or rig your own. I have only had one dog that never learned - to ring the bell to go outside. As for the barking, get one of those noisy air cans at the pet store - they make a loud hissing sound - now I just have to show my little dogs the can and they zip it.
