I would like to believe that. The selection committee is "supposed" to take into account special situations involving losing/gaining players to injury/suspension during the year. LSU was 7-7 without Ballard (she came back for the 3rd SEC game). If LSU goes 10-4 with her, that should tell the committee that LSU is a worthy team and should get the benefit of the doubt…

On the flip side, Georgia ran up a good record before losing their best player to a broken leg a little over a week ago. If they implode in February, which is entirely possible, that injury should hurt their seeding in March.
