Spending all this money for something you could make yourself at home... Lazy college kids get it delivered also. I mean we all could make it at home, theyre conning us. Its not po boys or muffalettas.

Subway is a bigger rip off IMO.

Much worse quality meat and less of it for high price and processed bread.

At least the bread at JJ is decent and they use decent meat.

I've been saying on here for years that I don't really believe in paying for cold cut sandwiches of mediocre quality. That's not to say I don't like Ingas; I had it last week, and I've been 2-3 times in my life before that. But I have a really hard time spending money on those types of places.

My brother does this, and it blows my mind.

So if I get hungry around noon and I'm around campus I'm supposed to drive across town to my home because I can make a sandwich cheaper there?

Post less.

what the hell are we talking about here? its a sandwich shop that has decent sandwiches and delivers very fast. when did they ever claim to be a poboy or muffuletta shop?

and who do you expect to deliver your food.....scientists and doctors? get a life man.

College kids are usually fricked up and most don't grocery shop. So they order food.

If the sandwich doesn't have organic free range foie gras I won't touch it

How? The luxury of Jimmy Johns is that they deliver until 3 AM. Not the crap food.

And Inga's is fricking dank.

Agree. In a town like NOLA, known for good poboys, these chickenshit sandwich shops like Subway and Jimmy John's should be dismal failures, but never underestimate the prevalence of bad taste.

I used to think the same thing, until I tried to do it, saw how much waste I had and did the math. If I ate like 7 sandwiches a week it would be worth making your own.

I like the Ingas best, so to keep Cappa, ham, salami, and peperoni on hand gets expensive in itself, then finding quality tomatoes which may go bad on me before I finish using it/them, same thing with lettuce and cheese.

To sum up, yeah it can be a ripoff but it's not easy to always have everything on hand for an Ingas Best or a JJ Vito, and the waste gets expensive.

Ingas is good. Eat there a couple times a year. Never JJ

Jimmy John's is dogshit.

I use to hit JJ a good bit. Still from time to time. They changed the peppers somewhere in there though. Never had a problem with them before then one day they hit me like a ton of bricks. Tried a few more times and it's just hell after I add those peppers.

I don't know why people go to Ingas. I could make better sandwiches at home.

Just because you can make something similar at home does not mean that you can make it as quickly, conveniently, inexpensively, tasty, ect as a restaurant. I can make a better sandwich than Jimmy Johns, but if I haven't already bought the ingredients, can I have one in my hand in 15 minutes at 1:00 am?

Can I make my steak at home taste like Inga's?

It serves a niche.

Not always lazy. Time is more valuable than a few pennies.

80+% of sandwich shops are extreme rip-offs.
