Pellini has anger issues and was fired at Nebraska after flying into a "RANT" against the AD and admins and is now at Youngstown State.
The players past, present, and future are not happy it happened. And I think their opinion counts most of all. A couple should have stayed but were upset over Chief being allowed to walk and declared for the draft almost immediately.
If there was complacency it was not with the #1 SEC defense but with the last place offense: 128th in November after. "The offense is bad so let's shake things up and change DCs". Yeah, makes sense. At least we hired Chief's best friend.
The defense was ranked #1 in the SEC and 5th in the country playing half freshmen. Chief made adjustments all year and at halftime and had a higher scoring efficiency than the offense. That enabled us to win 4 of the last 6 SEC games, for 4-4 with essentially no offense. The power of D can only take you so far, at some pt you have to not only score but be elite and not last.

What does that have to do with the price of tea in China? He was a DC at LSU, hired to be a head coach elsewhere, but stayed on for the final game and put full effort into it. Only difference between Pelini and the DC for Seattle is that LSU won their game.

Name the players that declared because Chavis left.

Dude this has all been hashed out multiple times on this board. Just give it a rest.
By the way are you John Chavis?
