Holocaust denial is a huge thriving Industry. Just not so much in America,where it has some pitiful fan boys but no real juice or energy. America is the only Western Democracy (thankfully Imho) where Holocaust denial is not a criminal offense. In much of the Middle East it is celebrated and an Article Of Faith and hand-in hand with anti-Israeli and anti-Semitic propaganda. Anti-Semitism never dies, it is the most ancient hatred.

The psychology of Holocaust Denial is a dark putrid place. Think about it, it is the creepy intersection of Conspiracy Theory and Anti-Semitism and it is impervious to fact. But some people want so much to negate/minimize it, because again, the Jews get special denial treatment that other genocidal victims don't get. Nobody argues about Khmer or Armenian numbers. There is an obvious reason for that.
