I always like getting there as early as possible and walking the full 18 to start off. If you can't find a spot in Augusta, I'd recommend staying somewhere between Atlanta and the National like Conyers or Madison or somewhere like that. The last thing you want is to be stuck in Atlanta traffic and to miss out on spending more time at the best place on earth.
