I'm too old for Mardi Gras, I'll go to the balls we're invited to because my wife likes to dress up but that's about it.
Great time to get out of town when kids are off of school but the rest of the country doesn't have holidays

And Mamou Traditional Courir de Mardi Gras is the best. Watching floats, high school marching bands, & catching plastic beads just seems like a waste of time.
