I think Miles made his decision based on 1) recruiting and 2) fit (personality-wise). Clancy may be better at Xs and Os in a vacuum, but Miles is gambling that the chemistry with Steele will be better in the long run.

Pros complained about Clancys complex schemes. Granted it's been said Steele over thinks things also, but bottom line, knowing SEC ball and recruiting SEC talent won the day

Everyone keeps saying Steel isn't very good X and Os but don't know chit about chit. Fact is that Clemson doesn't/didn't have the athletes LSU does on D. WV was pretty good that year they lit our bad arse team up also. Also their players on D had just given up. It's all about timing with hires and I think Les knows WTF he is doing more than everyone on this board. Steel may have learned a lot from saban/bama/clemson? These guys will get the best talent around and takent can do a lot for your team. If anything I believe LSU will play more aggressive and be more sound on the field and that's not a bad thing, infact aggressiveness is what everyone wanted. Like I said it's all about timing and fit and I believe Mr. Finbuom and everyone saying we got the short end of the stick can go eat a dic%. GT
