Like honestly dude. No generation is objectively better. Music has existed for thousands of years. It changes.

I'm not. I love a lot of "modern" music. I named some modern bands above that I enjoy.

According to who? Because if you compare the crop of mainstream artists today to the music that was popular in the 70's and before that, there's really no denying the quality has gone down considerably.

That's why you've seen a rise in independent labels and experimental music because the big record labels don't take music seriously anymore as an art form. It's all about $$$ for them.
