Very interesting that you ask as there is some girls lacrosse in Louisiana & we went over to SJA last week to help spread the growth of the game.

Here is the post via our Facebook page:

LSU Womens Lax @ SJA

Very fortunate to have been able to work with a few St. Joseph's Academy students on Thursday, Jan. 29. We were able to host a free clinic for potentially interested girls, and the numbers looked promising. We hope to continue to help grow the game in LA, while simultaneously giving back to the community!

Below is an article SJA wrote about the clinic, along with a link including pictures from the event. Geaux Tigers, and happy February!

Happy Tuesday Tiger Fans! The 4th Edition of getting to know your 2015 Lady Tigers Lacrosse Team is here.

Top Left: Senior Tameka Gongs is in her 1st season with the team. The Biological Engineering major out of Washington DC will be a solid defender wearing #13 for the Lady Tigers.
Fun Fact: 60 Minutes dud a story on her HS & there is a clip of her shaking the President’s hand (pictured).

Top Right: Madison Murray comes to the Tigers by way of C.E. Byrd HS up in Shreveport, LA. The Freshman in her 1st season with the team is majoring in Textiles & Apparel Merchandising with a Minor in Business. Look for #22 to spend plenty of her time at attack & midfield this season.
Fun Fact: Her initials are MNM & her parents did this on purpose so that when she runs for President she’ll give everyone M&Ms so they will vote for her.

Bottom Left: Kaci Rogers is in her 3rd season with the purple & gold. The Junior out of Winnfield, LA is majoring in Animal Science. You will #30 between the pipes at goalie.
Fun Fact: Her country accent is fun…ny.

Bottom Right: The 1 international Lady Tiger on the team is Steph Wilderspin. She is a Junior out of Colchester, Essex, UK majoring in American Literature with Creative Writing. You can find #26 on the defensive end of the field this spring.
Fun Fact: Coming from a musical background that led her to playing trumpet & saxophone from a young age. She has perfected the performance of a large repertoire of notable works including No Diggity & Rack City.

Tune in tomorrow for our next 4 Lady Tigers to get to know!
