I'd have hated having to share a room with my brother.
I had to share a room with my brother and hated it. It's 1 thing if siblings are very close, get along well and want to share a room, but it's another if you are polar opposites and HAVE to share a room.
I told my wife before we had kids that we could have as many as she wanted, but we had to be able to buy a house big enough for all to have their own room if they so chose. Our current house is 2500 sf for 4 people. I wish the kids' rooms were slightly larger, and I'd like a GIANT bonus room, so our next house will be a little larger- 3000ish sf. If my current house had a larger yard, we wouldn't be in such a hurry to move, but we never spend any time outside because the yard is too small.
