re: Anyone ever won anything from a raffle ticket?

Not necessarily a raffle ticket but 3 years ago a motorcycle magazine I subscribed to had a bike built with the intent of drawing one of there 8000+ subscribers to win. The drawing was to take place at a huge motorcycle show they were putting on in North Carolina, my name was drawn however you had to be present to win, so they continued drawing until someone was actually there. What was shitty was the drawing was in July, the next month I attended a show put on by the same magazine in Sturgis completely oblivious to what had happened. It wasn't until the September issue that they did a writeup on the July show that I knew what even happened. Had they done the raffle at Sturgis I would have won. I ended up emailing them and they were cool about it, ended up sending me a bunch of T shirts, a jacket and hoodie, and a few DVDs.
