Damn. I had the same thing happen at a BK. Nobody in the restaurant and the girl just sat there on the same side of the counter as I was. I'm thinking age must be off the clock. A couple minutes later the manager asked if my order had been taken then asked whilst she hadn't taken it. She just mumbled I don't know...but they want $15 an hour

LOL. Well at least In my case It was not racism like the OP claims. The old White manager was equally as dismissive to me as the young black female. Good food but the service around P'Ville/Gonzales is horrible.
I don't think the problem is a black/White thing as much as young people giving 0 shits lol. Never had much of an issue with older folk in fast food except for the popeyes manager
