So after last nights win Lunardi bumped us to 10 seed and now has 6 SEC teams in the bracket. I like the 10, because I think we matchup better with Villanova assuming LSU and NOVA win their first games. Also NOVA chokes every year!

Never look at matchups on bracketologies.. Only look at seeds. These guys have 0 idea who you will actually play.

Oh I'm not, trust me. I just like the 10 having to play a 2. The 1's are gonna be tough this year. If we can get a 5 or 6 thats even better!

At this point, moving down from a 9 to a 10 is bad. We still have a very legit shot at a 5-6 seed. No one wants to be an 8 or 9 seed, but we want to seem higher.

I will say I follow about 20 different bracketologies and Joe has been the lowest on LSU of all of them. I have seen more than a handful of 6's and a ton of 7-8 seeds.

This blog does a great job of listing good bracketologies:

10 seed is solid gold compared to a 8/9

10 seed matches up against a 7 which is rarely a team better than the 8/9.......then you avoid the dreaded 1 seed in rd. 2.

UGA at an 8 seed?

I know they dont have any "bad losses" but they also dont have any good wins either.

Maybe K state was big but their RPI is 77. Seton Hall and Ole miss are not big enough to bump them to 8.

Good to see Joe having 7 SEC teams in his top 72. SEC trending upward is a good sign for the Tigers.

Well thats good to know SoS. I was more excited about more SEC teams getting in. I said on a previous thread I thought 5-6 SEC teams getting in the tourney is possible. If everyone in the conference keeps playing well it could be the conference's best showing in a while.

moving down is bad. you can move up and avoid the 8/9 matchup as well.

I'm not sure why we moved down though.

Totally agree.

SEC has done exactly what they needed to with 5 teams at 5-2 or better. We have to have the cream go to the top and not have any unsuspected bad OOC teams get to upper parts of the league table.

If LSU draws Nova, LSU is at least guaranteed a trip to the 32

No doubt, I have NOVA in the sweet 16 in my bracket every year and they always let me down. I really need to learn from my mistakes

I could care less about LSU's seed. I just want to be back in the hunt.
