This is even more alarming.

That letter was well written, thoughtful, direct and was indicative of a guy who is very intelligent.

Someone that intelligent must have some very strong demons if he continuously makes very bad decisions that destroy his life.

If his letter is to be believed:

* He is extremely intelligent
* He is not an addict and has been able to control his drug and alchohol consumption for extended periods with no problem
* He was able to escape from what sounded like was a very tough upbringing...which makes him even more exceptional
* He cares about his team and his career
* He has and has for a while taken responsibility for his actions internally

Yet, he can't make good decisions. I hate to say this...but that's worse than having an addiction. It's a mental instability. I mean, he gets it. Yet, he still can't get out of his own way.
