Cafe Amelie is indeed a fantastic patio. Food is mediocre at best though; standard boring brunch fare made to turn tables of tourists over quickly.

The food there is solid, but not spectacular. The drinks are better. The setting is the best part, and it makes for a great time.
On a nice day it is a tough tough place to beat.
The main point I was trying to make is that someone from BR brought up Amelie, and that Arse is the only person from NOLA who regularly seems to go there on this board. Granted, if I lived in BR, Amelie would be the exact type of spot I'd look for because BR has nothing like it.
