not to mention, you would be a major risk to any NFL team looking to sign you later in your career
The whole "you have to be there" in order to be a good father is bogus. The baby is not even aware of anything at birth. Sherman made a commitment at the beginning of the season and he should see it through. What if Sherman was a brain surgeon, a nuclear reactor operator, an air traffic controller or a firefighter? Unless the family is in danger, do your job then go home and enjoy your family. This is what a man does.
