2013 Brees ranks 6th in total QB rating. Tied for 8th In most pics thrown.

2012 Brees ranks 8th in TQR 1st in most pics

2011 ranks 2nd in TQR and is tied for 8th LOWEST ints thrown

This is where you can get in trouble if you do not understand statistics. Brees typically is among the leaders in passes attempted Naturally, that can tend to lead to more stats for and against the player. And while he doe shave bad years from time to time, you cannot base where they rank purely based on stats.

2014: Brees was tied for 18th in Int/pass w/ 2.6% (Peyton was at 2.5%, Eli was at 2.4%, Romo 2.1%, Brady 1.5%)

2013: Brees was tied for 7th w/ 1.8% ( Peyton 1.5%, Eli 4.9%, Romo 1.9%, Brady 1.8%)

2012: Brees was tied for 18th w/ 2.8% ( Peyton 1.9%, Eli 2.8%, Romo 2.9%, Brady 1.3%)

2011: Brees was tied for 6th w/ 2.1% ( Peyton DNP, Eli 2.7%, Romo 1.9%, Brady 2.0%)

Most people would get caught up in the standings and how he compares to other QBs; however, the true statistic is that over the past 4 years he has fluctuated between 1.8% & 2.8%. When you look over his entire career, you will notice that in most (9 of 14) of his years, he falls within that 1% deviation. The other years, he was either over that or only threw 27 passes.

I really do think interception % is a much better stat. Glad to see other people using it
