The guy who lost by a dollar and the girl who won were both pretty solid players.
I have no sympathy for someone who loses when there is literally zero reason for them too, though.
The guy with 21K had a really stupid final round wager. There is zero benefit to betting 7001. If you bet 7k and get it right, worst case you tie for the win, keep your money, and play another day. Basically you win. Likewise, if you get it wrong and the other person bets zero (what happened), you STILL TIE. The extra dollar he bet only decreased his chances of advancing.
The guy made a really stupid bet, and if you go on jeopardy without knowing how to bet, youre fricked
