I would rather attend an LSU game in Houston or Dallas or some other neutral site against a tough opponent than see LSU pound some cupcake in Baton Rouge.

The administration has done a beautiful job of setting this up as the only logical dichotomy.

That's not really what they are replacing. We play 3 cupcakes in 2015 and 3 cupcakes in 2016 at home. We have one OOC game on the road against Syracuse in 2015, and the next year against Wisconsin on neutral site (yet in Wisconsin).

So for at least the next two years, all you are getting is 6 cupcakes at LSU, and two OOC games, one in Wisconsin, and one in New York. As trips those sound great, but still...

unfortunately, one must consider other teams schedules when hunting the National Championship.

You need look no further that TOSU and Bama to an extent to see the path to the CG is one of least resistance.

And that is a fact

The two aren't mutually exclusive. Just play real games at home, rather than the body bag games. If they do this, LSU's average profit for game goes up, and they aren't cutting $750,000+ checks for the visitors to come in to Tiger Stadium.

I really don't understand the point of expanding TS
if it will only be full once or twice a year. Tiger Stadium and Camp Randall are supposed to be two of the most iconic stadiums in college football, yet the almighty dollar is preventing the games from being played there.

I get a once in a blue moon neutral site game--Oregon in 2011 was awesome, Tennessee is playing at Bristol Motor Speedway, the Northwestern game at Wrigley was great to watch, but having one every, single, year is ridiculous.
