What are your thoughts about alternate law setups on Airbus jets? I found the whole situation with AF447 to be really weird. My pilot experience is shite, and only involves rickety pipers, so I don't know much about control setups on commercial jets.

most of my experience has been in Boeing jets, what little I know about Airbus is from friends that fly it/teach on it, and reading accident reports, some of their design logic seems funny to me, the positive outcome from catastrophes such as Air France 447 is that systems/procedures are usually changed for the better, always striving to reduce/eliminate the odds of it happening again
