Sorry you're emotionally invested and want this to be true, but it's not. It takes time to get to a level to play a power chord correctly. It really is pretty much pushing a button.Now sampling a sound and putting it on a control device involves a little more effort, but not much more. I don't dislike all music that incorporates electronics. I actually think it can augment good music and make great soundscapes.

I'm not THAT emotionally invested (I actually play non-electronic music). I'm just annoyed because what you're saying isn't true and it's disparaging not only a genre of music, but a medium. A medium that takes a lot talent, practice, and creativity to perfect.
