Think I traced the term (Ginger) back to 1982!

There's literature from the 1800's that use the term ginger to describe a person with reddish hair.
Back then they didn't refer to hair color by the actual color. They didn't say yellow hair, brown hair, etc. It was blonde, brunette so ginger was a natural extension of that protocol.
