When you're stripped, beaten, and threatened with death everyday, as are all your friends, it's probably hard to rebel against armed guards.

I will never understand how and why they never just stopped allowing themselves to be pushed around. What the hell? They had more people than the Nazis!

firearms-registration records to identify, disarm and attack “enemies of the state,”
And they did fight back at Belzec, Treblinka and Sobibor death camps.

It's hard for anyone in today's world to understand how this "sheep like "mentality could ever exist alongside the mass murder that occurred in the Holocaust. But, for one, the Nazis took their time, starting in the mid to late 30's, to develop the process, so the Jews, Gypsies, communists were slowly indoctrinated mentally. But, most importantly, if you read enough on this subject, you'll read again and again how the victims back then just could not believe that the Nazis would ever do anything like this. I mean, who could comprehend something like cramming victims into the back of trucks & riding them in circles till the victims died of carbon monoxide poisoning, by the 1000's in the East? Or Babi Yar, where over 30K Jews were forced into the pits & murdered one by one over a few days? It was unimaginable.
