that must be the mecca for that chain, went there a couple of summers ago to stock up for a weekend of tubing, fairly large place to not really stock much at all, bought beer there then went to a regular grocery store

Born and raised in Texas but now living in BR.

Things I miss:
Quality Tex-Mex, Whataburger at every corner, and good spicy bbq.

I saw people mention shiner, but I prefer Karbach. Fantastic brewery and a great tour. If any of y'all get the chance I recommend going to Karbach on a Saturday for a tour and just hang out. They have some great food trucks around and it's just a great atmosphere.

bucees started in the freeport area. Usually have a shite load of pumps, spaced fairly comfortably, ideal for dragging a boat in. Always have cheap ice and clean restrooms.

Can't say that I've ever had the desire to use one of their walmArt-sized stores, or buy their bumper stickers, but they're consistently and significantly better than the alternative.
