Thanks for the suggestions. Never heard of Isokern - it looks cool but do they make specific ones for outdoor?
Sugar kettle looks badass too - will look into going with a built in one of those if I can't figure out the full on fireplace for a decent cost.

they are specifically made for outdoor use. you can put them inside as well of course but the majority are used outdoors. They are made from volcanic pumice taken from Iceland.
