Guy Speranza, formerly of Riot. Probably more hard rock than metal. Though his career was short lived, Swords and Tequila is one of the best hard rock albums of the 80's.
John Gallagher of Raven. A NWOBHM band from the 80's that's still around today. Great range, great frontman.
Biff Byford from Saxon. Been around forever. Still got it.

Totally agree.
And dude...Guy Speranza. Yes! First 3 Riot albums with him are phenomenal. Must have albums for any hard rock afficionado.
