Patterson is a good QB. But he is not a dual threat. In fact he was listed by all recruiting services as a pocket passer, until AFTER the LSU camp in July 2014. He was ranked in the top 10 in pocket passers nationally. After a decent 40yd time at LSU camp in July, he was magically re-classed as a dual threat (with in a week). It was a smart move, because they ranked him higher on the dual threat side. The common thought is that PPs are more cerebral than DTs (not that I agree with this). So when he moved over to the DT side it gave him a boost in the rankings.

DONT CONFUSE the term "dual threat" with the term "mobility". Just because a guy moves better than most PPs, doesnt make him a DT. Look at SP's film. It is clear that he is a PP with good mobility. But he is by no means a dual threat. AGAIN, he is a good QB.

So much stupid in one post.
He is polished.
He can make all the throws.
He is fast and agile.
He can run.
That is a dual threat.
Just because he is White doesn't mean he has to be labeled what he is not, the kid is dynamic and can beat you with his arm and his legs. That is a dual threat.

But this is a Frank's thread and he is a gunslinger and all LSU. Go Franks!!!

Just to go back to these guys being dual threat or pocket passers. This is the guys rushing stats last year.

Patterson:
GP CAR YDS AVG Y/G LNG TD
13 - 55 - 134 - 2.4 - 10.3 - 46 - 3

Franks:
GP CAR YDS AVG Y/G LNG TD
11 - 28 - 425 - 15.2 - 38.6 - 55 - 3

Both of these guys are Pocket Passers. Only one of them I would consider being a threat with his legs as well..
