Late bloomer syndrome. The one person from my high school class that got fired (no charges) in Alabama for something similar was a classic case.
Sort of chunky. Had friends, but didn't date a lot. Wasn't popular.
Went to college, lost some weight, got a teaching degree and went back to old high school and seduced an 18 year old senior when she was 22.
With men and cheerleading coaches, its usually that they never left high school mentally.
