If it smells bad, toss it because the meat is going to taste rancid even if you cook it. If it smells okay, I would give it a shot. I'd probably pressure cook them or soak them in vinegar for a few minutes before cooking though.

It smells delicious. I'm going to be the experiment tomorrow for lunch. I'll report back Sunday...if I don't report back, the pork chops killed me
