I just want to add, in case we are all forgetting, the deflated balls were discovered in the first half when the score was 17-7. The Colts were still in it though their prospects still didn't look that great.
The balls were swapped out with balls that were within regulations to start the second half. Brady starts the second half 9-of-9 while his team racks up 28 unanswered points to win the game 45-7.
The NFL knows the deflated balls had no impact on the game. If anything, the halftime score proves they were actually a detriment to the Patriots.
i dont think a single person in the world thinks the balls had anything to do with the outcome. Its the whole rules thing, and breaking them, and lying... kind of like when they told lynch if he wore gold shoes he could be suspended, it wouldnt had made a difference in how he played. But there are rules, and there are consenquences when you break them.

Nope. No one has forgotten.
So what's the story? The Patriot offense functioned better on the ground and through the air with a ball within regulations in the second half then they did with a ball outside of regulations in the first half.
Anyone who is comparing this to Bountygate or Watergate or whatever other gates there are needs to have their heads examined.
This is a non-story that the media is blowing way out of proportion.

Dude, its like people didn't learn from Rae Carruth. Don't draft murderers guys.

bountygate

Patriots got caught cheating.

So who broke them? Can you state definitively with the evidence we have that Bill Belichick or Tom Brady gave the order to deflate those footballs?
And don't go on your gut feelings. Go on evidence. Is the evidence we have so far conclusive enough to say with certainty that one of those guys are guilty of cheating?

Some can connect the dots themselves. Some cannot.

So, what came of Schefter saying the NFL was having issues even finding evidence?

Yeah, Bountygate was an outrage because Goodell punished a team without a shred of proof to try to limit exposure to an unrelated lawsuit.

we need to get tom cruise and colin Farrell to do a minority report (see what I did there ) so the NFL won't draft future murderers.

But remember what Goodell said about Sean Payton not knowing about Bountygate.

When I watches the Fugitive, I knew Harrison Ford wasn't guilty. Draft him!

Full of shite.

I do.
Do you think he is going to make that same decision before the biggest game of the year, and in a year in which he has been accused of incompetence as it relates to the Ray Rice incident?

you forgot "despite injuring their opponents less than any other team in the league"
look, this is overblown, but bountygate is the mother load of bullshite.
This is also why I don't even believe the NFL when they say the balls are deflated. I don't believe them when they say the sun is yellow. They're so incompetent and they lack all integrity

Goodell set the precedent in New Orleans. Now New England gets the hammer.
Posted on 1/22/15 at 4:24 pm to Galactic Inquisitor
Who cares if it was the ball boys that did it without anyone's knowledge(which is ridiculous). They are within the Patriots organization so the Patriots still cheated
