Audio System issues for 04 Tahoe

Have a 2004 Tahoe and the audio to my stereo went out the other morning. The radio still has power, displays the radio station, the time, all the presets, even the cd player shows track and track time.
But no audio.
Was wondering if anyone on here has had the same issue and what did you do to solve the problem.

check the fuses, then check the cables behind the dash.

It is not uncommon for pairs of speakers to go out at the same time. However, I have never heard of all of them going out. If you think this is possible, go buy you a pair of 6 1/2s (I believe that is the size in the doors) and change them. Autozone/Hi-Lo, etc. will have some for under $30 bucks. They aren't great, but they will trouble shoot.

I just took out an entire Bose set w/sub, amp, and radio (CD player was broken). Lemme know if you need them because they are just sitting at my house
Is yours Bose or not? Did it just randomly cut off, or were there any noises when it did? Hit a bump?

Similar in my 07 Avalanche. The door speakers would randomly work and go out. Only the tweeters in the posts would work. Turns out replacing all 4 speakers fixed it.

Sounds like a fuse to the amp--does the head unit run to a separate amp?

I had a 2001 Monte Carlo and had the same thing happen. It was the amp; had it replaced and no problems ever again. In the MC it was mounted at the top of the trunk, between the two rear speakers.
