Russell Wilson did not beat Aaron Rodgers. 4 INTs in one game says it all.

no, but their defense did and really did a much better job in the second half...that's impressive

5 turnovers makes their probability of winning .05% or something insane like that

Yeah. With the QBs being thrown out, I thought it was the kind of thread. Lazy by me.

I don't like stats like these. The majority of teams that have 5 turnovers are bad teams, so the majority of historical data is useless for predicting the Seahawks.

The NFC was terrible this year, that has to take something from the accomplishment. They beat a terrible Carolina team and then a miracle win vs GB. However, back to back is incredible no matter what the circumstances.

Completely shutting down the broncos in the super bowl instantly makes them one of the best SB winners ever,

I know their offense broke all kinds of records and whatnot, but something about them just didn't feel like they were all that great. They beat up on a bad AFC west team and relied so much on quick throws that broke tackles. When they finally faced someone that forced them to be physical, they couldn't do it.

Seahawks also had a incredibly lucky run of QBs they faced in the regular season that allowed them to get the #1 seed and home field throughout the playoffs.

7 Austin Davis STL
8 Cam Newton CAR
9 Derek Carr OAK
10 Eli Manning NYG
11 Alex Smith KC
12 Drew Stanton ARI
13 Colin Kaepernick SF
14 Mark Sanchez PHI
15 Kaepernick SF
16 Ryan Lindley ARI
17 Shaun Hill STL

These QBs were something like a combined 45-65-1 as starters in the regular season. Taking away the games they played against the Seahawks they were somewhere around 43-56-1.

The Seahawks are also 10-0 in the last 3 years against QBs who have won the Super Bowl. 3-0 vs. Aaron Rodgers, 2-0 vs. Eli Manning, 2-0 vs. Peyton Manning, 2-0 vs. Drew Brees, 1-0 vs. Tom Brady

was just about to post this

I think the two best recent champs are the seahawks and saints (seahawks obviously better resume)

the saints got the #1 seed that year playing a slew of terrible and/or rookie and/or backup QBS (best qbs they played were ryan, brady and eli)

but in the playoffs...warner, favre, manning

the seahawks last year went through brees and manning

this year it will have to be Rodgers and Brady

if they win, it will be one of the best back to back champs ever. Last year the NFC was loaded too.

they're the best super bowl champs since the niners in 94 for sure,

and yes, I agree...maybe the best defense of all time and they blew out the greatest offense of all time, making them so fricking legit

What does it say about Brady if he is the only one of those QBs to win and does it with (arguably) the worst supporting cast on offense?

If a group of people are generally argued to be the strongest, smartest, best, etc and they all fail at one obstacle except for one, what does that say about him?

Spin this ANY way you want....BUT Green Bay LOST that game more than The Hawks won it... Seattles offense is Pathetic..........

The more I look at things, NE is becoming a stronger and stronger pick for me....

I don't think it was terrible, but I do think it was a step down from last year...the worst division in football, the teams from last year took big steps back, some took big steps forward

you got lesser versions of the 2013 playoff field with Carolina, Seattle (they're awesome, but not as awesome as they were last year). You had a cardinals team with no qb. It just wasn't as strong as last year.
