I'd be playing the crap out of it if it wasn't impossible to get online some nights (PC).

I play 4-5 nights a week. (PS4)
Also, I've already prestiged more for this game than any other since BLOPS. Really, the only one I have hated is Ghosts.

I loved BLOPS, but friggin A, the hit detection was garbage. But it gave us wager matches, which is what I primarily played towards the end.

Honestly, I played it a bunch at first. But, I didn't even get to the final level on my first run through.
After playing Advanced Warfare, I feel cheated by COD for having purchased Ghosts.

There's really nothing super futuristic about this, IMO. I never even use my exo abilities, and I don't feel any of them are game changers. That laser can DIAF, though.

I get this, but if it's just setting that bothers them, I think it's unfortunate that they can't look past all of that and find a really satisfying MP experience, one of the smoothest ones the CoD series has ever had.

You can't sit there and say people should look past the jumping and future stuff when they just don't like it. It's kind of like saying you should look past the oysters in the oyster dressing at Thanksgiving, but goddammit I don't fricking like oysters.

This is true. There are exactly 2, now, laser guns. There is also a shotgun that shoots a "burst of energy". Outside of the exo abilities, is a regular, modern, COD.

This is well said. I keep telling people that this game is so smooth and really fun. Like any COD, there are people that ruin the experience, but this is not as rampant as it had been. Its a very balanced game.

I'm just of the opinion that this game would really surprise people if they gave it a fair shake. People like what they like, I fully get that, so it is what it is. I'm kind of going by the typical reactionary posts I see on this board when people started seeing screen shots and gameplay with the exo-suits. Wrote the game off right away.

If they don't like the game, that's fine. But don't classify it as a "futuristic" game when it really isn't. The exo abilities are new and different for COD, but, like sic said, they aren't game changers. And honestly, I've only ran into a few players/clans that used it to great advantage. But they would have kicked my arse without the exo stuff, so its a wash.

It will be really unfortunate if they don't eventually nerf or delete that laser. As far as OP weaponry, I think it trumps the USAS-12.

Its not nearly as OP in PS4 as it is in PC, from what I've read. Like I said, its very balanced.

Lets just all hope that they are, in fact, going back to WWII. In particular, making a WaW 2, so we can all pay together. We haven't played BF4 together enough for me to hear the complaining they all talked about.

That's okay. For the record, I'm not entirely happy with where Battlefield has gone with BF4. I think I'm going to give Hardline an honest shot because of the real effort they seem to have put into making the game better by involving the community.
After that, I really don't know what I'm really going to want to play. I hardly play anyway.

I know what I would like, and I know I won't ever get it again. A simple WWII shooter without all of the BS perks and kill steaks. I couldn't get into to W@W because of the attachments to WWII era weapons that totally killed the feel for me.
